Underwater Imaging (RUDI)
The Underwater Imaging camera system RUDi is a digital device that allows our sales and service team to capture underwater images and videos of the ship's propulsion system in operation under all sea conditions.
* RUDI is the abbreviation for Remote Underwater Digital Imaging.
The RUDI system is a very effective and useful tool for inspecting and examining propulsion systems during operation. Unlike standard maintenance methods, RUDI allows for real-time monitoring and archiving of all underwater events.
This SD or HD video material enables the analysis of the propulsion system, helps address issues like vibrations or cavitation, and prepares for the next dry dock in terms of required work and estimated yard time.
RUDI is not a permanent installation; it is a mountable device that is removed after use. Installation and removal of the device take place during loading and unloading in port.
Upon request, we are happy to provide a final report with a hydrodynamic analysis.
